The Mountainland Association of Governments, in conjunction with the communities of Springville, Mapleton, Salem, Spanish Fork, Woodland Hills, Elk Ridge, Payson, and Santaquin, is developing an Active Transportation Plan to improve bicycling and walking in South Utah County. The Plan will address walking and biking for both transportation and recreation through improvements to trails and on-street facilities. The Plan kicked off in July 2015 and is expected to be complete by the fall of 2016.
Active Transportation Workshops
The project team will be leading Active Transportation Workshops with each community in May 2016. These two-hour walking workshops are for members of the project team, city leadership, and community advocates to experience existing challenges for walking and biking and give their input about potential recommendations to improve them. These collaborative workshops will inform the development of the draft Plan.
Please stay tuned for more information about the draft Plan and opportunities for you to provide input!
